Three Stars Inc. has been built out of the resources and talents of the local Orlando community. We owe our success to the exceptional quality of the people of Central Florida, and think the best way to show our gratitude is to give something back.
Readily recognizing that education is the key to improving the future, we've set up free public workshops to help fill in technological gaps in people's resumes. Far too many good people are losing out on opportunities in life due to the fast changing nature of technology, and we're endeavoring to close that gap.
The following workshops will be held at our offices:
- Programming: So much of business in the 21st century is being driven by the Internet and new technologies that anyone without even the most basic understanding of programming can potentially become obsolete. Although we won't be able to teach every detail of the many programming languages, we'll be able to familiarize attendees with an overview of what they are and what they do, enabling them to work in support capacities and management roles within technology companies.
- Blogging/Writing: The interactive nature of the Internet has opened new channels of communication between companies and their customers. A huge part of that dialogue takes place in the blogosphere. What was once the sole providence of consumers and angry political rants has been seized by corporate America as a way of "telling their story". Both sides offer individuals ample opportunity to influence the opinions of the public, and can be accomplished either subtly or with a bag of bricks. The trick is to pick the correct approach for the occasion.
- Media Buying: Traditionally, media buying is placing advertisements in the correct market to maximize exposure. However, the Internet has blurred the territorial lines and offered new challenges to getting a company's message out to the targeted audience. We'll explore these new areas of the business and teach attendees the finer points of marketing and advertising in the digital age.
